|Quiche Lorraine Knudsen® Style!|
|1 Unbaked Standard Pastry Crust Shell
8 Strips Bacon, Fried Crisp and Crumbled
½ Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
1 Cup Knudsen Half & Half
|1 Cup (1/2 Pt.) Knudsen® Cottage Cheese
1 Tablespoon Flour
½ Teaspoon Dill Weed
½ Teaspoon Dry Mustard
¼ Teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Parmesan Cheese
|Preheat oven to 425°F. Pre-bake pastry crust shell for 10 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned. Remove from oven and lower oven heat to 350°F. Spread bacon and Cheddar Cheese over bottom of pastry crust shell. Put remaining ingredients, except the Parmesan Cheese into mixer and blend on low speed until smooth. Pour over bacon and cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese and bake 35 to 45 minutes, or until you can insert a knife just off-center and it comes out clean. Serve immediately. Leftovers can be reheated later. Makes 6 servings.|
Ham Cottage Quiche: Substitute 4 oz. boiled or baked ham for the bacon.
Beef Cottage Quiche: Substitute 2 to 2½ oz. shredded dried beef for the bacon
Sausage Cottage Quiche: Substitute 5 cooked and sliced smoked link sausages for the bacon.
Tuna Cottage Quiche: Substitute 1 can white tuna, drained and flaked for the bacon.
